Match Report
Royal Russell School Boys-U15B vs  Charterhouse
On: Tuesday, 24 Sep 2024
Venue: at Home

After a solid start to the season the still mighty 15B’s met tough opposition against Charterhouse, at our home, on Tuesday.

Both teams looked to play good attacking football which made for end to end entertainment with plenty of good tussles all over the park.

We took the lead mid way through the half, Dilanesh twists with great skill, found space and shot accurately beyond their keeper.

As is so often the case, did we relax? Because they came straight back and equalised within 5 minutes! Then we had another chance , only this time their keeper was equal to the effort. 1-1 at half time.
With 6 subs, we had to make some changes at the break and this may have disrupted out flow, but our player kept battling. We had a penalty disallowed, had the ball cleared off the line and missed at least 2 other golden opportunities to draw ahead. Instead it was Charterhouse who took advantage of a quick break slotting past Milo Wilson who had an excellent game. The players kept pressing and working hard, but the final pass went astray too often, or we weren’t patient enough in our build-up play. Training on Thursday and plenty of games to come!
