Royal Russell U15As 3-2 Glyn

The 15As continued their impressive season as they beat a strong Glyn School 3-2.

Russell moved the ball well on the slick home ground and Kuranosuke Abe put us 1-0 up with a thumping strike from the edge of the box. Glyn equalised from a penalty after a mistake at the back. Lucas Brown got a hand to it, to tip it onto the post but it still sneaked its way in. We got ourselves back ahead before half time when Mykola Cherniavskyi found Kyle Dalling who skipped past his man slotted it into the far corner with his left foot, 2-1.

The first 10 minutes of the 2nd half was really good from the team as they moved the ball super quick with 1 and 2 touch passing. This led to our 3rd as Jay Cho slipped in Kura in behind and the striker expertly dinked the onrushing GK, 3-1. We got sloppy as the game started to fizzle out and gave away a needless free kick in the last minute. Their LB who was a threat all morning unleashed a powerful effort which could only be spilled and tapped in on the rebound, 3-2.

We managed to see out the win with another impressive display only conceding to 2 “set pieces” against a very good team.
