Royal Russell U13A 2-0 Westminster School

On a sunny Monday afternoon, the U13As put in an impressive performance to beat Westminster 2-0 before their National cup Semi-Final next Monday in a great place.

A great counter-attack saw Maaliq Peter-Riley and Israel Djan break at pace. The ball then found Jack McDowall on the edge of the box who played a clever reverse pass to Maaliq. Maaliq had the composure to sit the defender down before finishing with his left foot, 1-0.

We were defending well limiting a strong Westminster team to minimal chances whilst creating some good opportunities for ourselves. Taehoo Park who was having an excellent game, played a one-two with Ramaele Chou before making a defence splitting pass in behind to Maaliq who managed to round the GK and get his 2nd of the afternoon, 2-0.

The team now go into the ESFA semi-final next week with full confidence and belief after this performance and are ready to tackle everything thrown their way.
