Royal Russell School Boys-U14A vs  Winchester College
On: Tuesday, 17 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

Winchester were another team of big strong boys, but with a better organised shape and better passing we looked the better football team

We went 1-0 with Tyrique George scoring an excellent opportunist goal from a tight angle, but conceded towards the end of the first half from a header.

The second half saw the opposition became more aggressive however our boys stayed calm and at times played some excellent football. Tyrique scored a second goal from a penalty before Bailey Neil-Gray scored an excellent goal to make it 3-1.

A disappointing bit of defending towards the end of the game allowed the opposition to score again when our goal keeper was left one on one to make it 3-2.

Sensing a comeback the opposition got more animated and aggressive and the game descended into a bit of a war, which we managed to stay in control of to win

A great response to an awkward first week, well done
